Gain trims are used to match the volume of the tracks by increasing or decreasing the level of the channel before the volume fader is brought up, this helps the use to create a smooth mix of equal volume. The gain trims, or pots, are usually located near the top of the mixer and are mostly a rotary control. Here are the components needed including basic pricing:
The components for the trim consist of 12 resistors, 1 potentiometer, 14 capacitors, 1 integrated circuit, 1 terminal grid, 2 PCB connectors and a DIL IC socket. There will be 4 gain trims.
